The Thermal Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials offers a wide range of structural insulation products used in many applications within the energy, industrial, automotive, domestic appliance and construction industries.

Block Thermal Insulation

We offer a range of block thermal insulation marketed under the TR™ and V-Lite™ brands, which are manufactured from vermiculite or diatomaceous silica and contain no ceramic fibres.

This physical makeup not only results in excellent strength and insulating properties but also provides lower thermal conductivity than many competitive vermiculite block products and resistance to aluminium cryolite attack, making the materials ideal if you are planning to replace mineral wool panel insulation in your applications.

These structural insulation products provide economical insulation in a variety of applications within the energy, industrial, automotive and domestic appliance markets.

Insulation Boards

Along with our block products above, we also offer a wide range of insulation boards marketed under the names of Fesco, Retrofit, FescoDrain, FescoFit and Silvagard.

These products are made using expandable perlite, fibres and binders and where there is an S in the product name, have been coated with bitumen (approx. 350 g/m2).

Whether you require compatibility with waterproofing systems, want good resistance to fire and heat or want strength and long service life, our boards are the right choice for within your construction project.

All our expanded perlite boards are produced with minimal substance emissions and using processes that improve its environmental credentials and offer the following key features:

  • Good thermal insulation
  • Low environmental impact
  • Resistance to fire and heat load
  • Compressive strength
  • Durability
  • Dimensional stability

Our perlite boards offer customers the following key benefits:
