Shin-Nippon Thermal Ceramics Corporation (STCC) has been established since 1997 between Morgan Crucible and Nippon Steel Chemical (NSCC) to manufacture high temperature insulation products and with a clear objective to expand business in Japan. Core products manufactured are: Engineered bulk, Blanket, Superwool, Folded-Modules like Z-Blok. Products traded are: Textile, paper, board, vacuum-form shapes, mortar, etc.

Prior to the JV, NSCC was manufacturing under Johns Manville technology since 1984 at Sakai, Osaka. Today, our 5000tons Sakai plant, is one of our most efficient production facilities, and is leading H&S trends in Japan by being the first to manufacture Superwool in Japan.

STCC’s head office is located in Tokyo and our main sales offices in Osaka and Fukuoka. We serve customers from various industries such as Iron & Steel, Transportation and Fire Protection, Ceramics, etc within the Japanese market.

We are proud to be part of Thermal Ceramics Asia Pacific and have access to other manufactured products from our worldwide plants outside of Japan. This gives us the advantage to complete our product offering in high temperature insulating products and to serve our customers better than our competition.

All of our team members are Japanese. We act local and think global. Supported by colleagues from the rest of the world, we continue to strengthen our communication skills. This is to enable us to form an important part of our global Thermal Ceramics network, with the ultimate mission to service our customers well.
