High Temperature Fibre Insulation Solutions for Aluminium/Non-Ferrous
The Thermal Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials provides high temperature fibre, refractory and microporous insulationc products and systems for thermal management in critical high temperature environments. Our engineered solutions are used extensively in primary and secondary processing of aluminium and other non-ferrous metals to improve productivity, reliability and energy efficiency.
Our market leading low bio-persistence high temperature thermal insulating fibre material Superwool® is favoured by the aluminium industry because of its excellent thermal performance and resistance to aluminium wetting. We use Superwool® to make insulation products such as:
- Vacuum Formed boards and shapes; flexible and rigid; including sleeves, cones, ladles, prules, pouring bruches and launders
- Fired Refractory tubing for heat treating applications
- Caster tips; twin-roll, thin-strip caster
Our Porextherm WDS® Ultra and WDS® Flexipor® flexible microporous insulation materials are ideal for insulation of the aluminium melting furnace.
